Inner Planet Transits

We normally do not write too much about the transits of the inner planets due to their short-lived effects, but the current inner planet transits are of interest to those with their Sun in the early degrees of Gemini or in the late degrees of Taurus.

On May 18, the Sun and Jupiter align as do Venus and Uranus.  This sounds very positive.  The Sun and Jupiter together suggest growth and added potential especially related to goals and aspirations.  In many ways this alignment, which by the way is a conjunction, is the most powerful of the aspects, and places great emphasis on our inner journey and what we have learned thus far and in particular as of late.  Although short lived, it should prove to be an expansive, energetic time for those experiencing these configurations in their chart.  This formation is in place for the duration of May 15 to the 25 of 2024.

On May 20, the Sun moves into the sign of Gemini, and we posted on this yesterday www.holmastrology.com/post/sun-in-gemini-4 and we will follow with Gemini’s 2024 transits in the next few Astrology posts.  It will be in effect along with the Conjunction of the Sun/Jupiter alignment just discussed.  Take into close consideration where this positioning takes place in your chart if you have a planet or angle near these degrees.  The house or angle will define the areas of life involved.

We will also be having a Full Moon on May 23.  Full Moon energies’ are an indication of the end of the work carried forward prior to this energy.  It is known as the culmination point and the harvest of the efforts put into whatever was started some six months ago when the New Moon was in the same sign.  As usual, we will also be writing a post on the emphasis of the Full Moon’s position in an upcoming post next week.

During this same period, Venus and Jupiter will linked up creating a conjunction at 29° of Taurus.  Together, Venus and Jupiter often indicate a time of fortunate conditions and favorable outcomes.  Love and affection may be part of the picture and a time of sharing life with others is also indicated.  Check to see this position in your natal chart if you have planets coming into play in the 29° of Taurus or in close proximity thereto.

One thing that we didn’t mention earlier with the conjunction of Venus and Jupiter on May 18, this often suggests that the unexpected can unfold moving you in a direction that is proper for your evolution and life’s path.  It can be under unusual circumstances and may come out of nowhere.  Expect the unexpected.

Finally, Jupiter also enters Gemini on May 26.  This is quite the favorable positioning as well.  It speaks of growth, higher education on some level, if not through the schooling of life, then through actual continued education.  This is a time of great learning and expansion.  If aligned with the Sun or natal Jupiter or even the Ascendant, it can speak of vital growth and healthier conditions.  Much of course will be determined by the natal potential found in the birth chart.  The Natal chart must always be taken into consideration as it is an outline of our life’s path and our most inner evolution along with many other important factors.  A natal chart is the first step in understanding our stay here on earth.

Enjoy the energies of these inner planet connections if they are in your chart.

Fixed, Earth sign of Taurus
Sun in Taurus

On April 19, 2024, we move from the Cardinal, Fire sign of Aries into the Fixed, Earth sign of Taurus.  The ruling planet of Taurus is Venus, and Taureans are generally warm and charming individuals because of the influence of the planet Venus.  They can be social but also prefer to be by themselves at times.  Most are well-grounded and are considered stable, structured and reliable.

Taureans want to achieve in life but also realize that it takes time and work to get to where they wish to be.  They slowly strive for financial security, and some become attached to money ventures and beautiful objects.  The feeling of owning something provides them with a sense of security and many begin to start saving at a young age.

They are naturally sensual and seek out the physical because they are attached to what is real.  Anything that seems out of reach or beyond what might be considered normal or stable, they will try to avoid.  They don’t like change and will often go with the flow but at the same time remain steadfast with their values.  They don’t like to create waves and want things to have a sense of reliability and structure to them.

Much of what they acquire provides them with a sense of self-worth as there is a need to feel secure.  Once they begin to acquire, they will have a hard time letting go.  They like what is comfortable and change is not high on their list.  They are considered stable, and they seek stability. Taureans seek structure and reliability.  In most cases, they are loyal once committed to whatever they seek out, whether that be an idea or a person.  They push ahead with their ventures and become fixed and steadfast in their approach.

The Sun sign has to do with our personality and what motivates us.  It is also tied to goals and aspirations.  It is who we are on a very deep level and does not necessarily reflect on the outside, at least when people first meet us.

At the end of April 2024 transiting Venus moves into the sign of Taurus and makes a conjunction with those with their Sun in Taurus. This contact will last until Venus moves into Gemini on May 23, 2024.  The energies of this contact will greatly depend on what degree the Taurus Sun is in the chart.

Venus will be accentuated in the sign of Taurus and could enhance the Taurean’s ability to acquire material objects that are desired.  Perhaps they are thinking about buying a home or a car or perhaps they are thinking about a new relationship or building on an existing one. These are all potentials that might surface during this timeframe.  Much will depend on the house involved and other aspects of transiting planets at this time.  The house position shows the area of life that is reflected.  Other planetary links speak of other energies in place.

We will look deeper into the aspects affecting our Taurus readers in our next post tomorrow.

We will focus on Transiting Jupiter sextile Natal Venus.

Transiting Jupiter moves through each sign in approximately one year therefore taking 12 years to complete a full cycle through the zodiac.

T. Jupiter moves into retrograde (appearing to move in a backward motion) once a year. During its retrograde cycle, it can make aspects to planets or angles up to three times, making these aspects from Jupiter more relevant.

Jupiter is the planet of good luck, expansion, growth, and easy flow. Its energies are what we wait for and in many cases good things happen (although when we are having an extended difficult time, it can exaggerate what is already in place). E.g. If someone were to have terminal health conditions, Jupiter’s energies can influence the situation to end the suffering. Jupiter’s energies are in place to expand situations.

A sextiles aspect indicates opportunities. When Jupiter is in sextile with natal Venus, it can bring good opportunities for a romance to blossom and go to the next level. Perhaps you have been involved in a relationship that seems promising and now you become engaged. Good, easy flow comes your way. Unlike the Trine aspect, however, with the Sextile, you should put energy into the situation for it to go to the next level.

Venus is about love, affection, romance, sex, finances, and social energies. All of these can be part of the conditions in place although much will depend on the area of life involved (determined by the houses involved in your chart). Check where T Jupiter and your N Venus are located, as well as the natal position and natal (aspects) to Jupiter’s place in the birth chart. This will give you further information.

E.g. T Jupiter moving through the seventh house (relationships, marriage partner or business associates) while N Venus is in the fifth house (children, romantic involvement, and the enjoyment of life) while N Jupiter is in the second house. This could refer to a romantic relationship with your partner moving to the next level and affecting your children or the children of your partner. Security is enhanced because of the combined income now being generated.
