SUN IN SCORPIO

On October 22, 2024 the Sun moves from the sign of Libra, a Cardinal Air sign, to Scorpio, a Fixed Water sign.  Libra is very concerned with relationships and keeping things in balance, creating harmony through dialogue and fairness.  They are the mediators and the peacekeepers of the Zodiac.

Scorpio, on the other hand, is a deep and reflective sign and much of what goes on within is kept private. Scorpio individuals only share what they want to.  They go through major transformations in life, with one thing coming to an end because it does not fit their ongoing quest for understanding and reflection. Once things have ended, they begin anew with a concept or deep understanding.  This is not to say that they know where life will take them, but they do know what is no longer a viable source and will search for that which can take them to where they need to go.

Scorpio is ruled by the planet Pluto and co-ruled by the planet Mars.  Wherever Pluto is found in a natal chart depicts an area that needs transformation over time and heralds great change because of life’s circumstance.  Pluto often speaks of power struggles and in some cases, we find this true with Scorpio individuals.  They usually have a great deal of confidence within and are very hard to sway, unless “proven” otherwise. 

Scorpio runs deep below the surface and what goes on inside is often a mystery.  They have a mysterious demeaner and have the ability to penetrate deep within themselves and others.  Some individual are comfortable with this; others are not. 

The less evolved Scorpio will use this ability to delve deep and use what comes to the surface as a source of power over others.  Those more evolved use this ability, which will grow as the evolution takes place, to help others along their path in life, by listening and offering advice, which under most conditions, others will listen too. In general, Scorpio people are more introverted than extroverted, and therefore when they do offer their input in matters, people will listen.  In general, Scorpio individuals will not babble on about things that do not matter and are rather matter-of-fact individuals.

Scorpio has been given a bad rap because of their sexual appetite.  Many Scorpio’s can identify with this intrigue, but most are quite committed once they decide to stay with a partner.  They can be promiscuous although this can be controlled if they so choose.  Scorpio is a very sensual sign. 

Sun in Scorpio individuals have intensity in all they do and how they live. If you enjoy a mystery, you will enjoy the company of a Scorpio individual.

PLUTO IN AQUARIUS

Pluto in Aquarius

Transiting Pluto moved into Aquarius temporarily from March to June of 2023 and again from January to early September of 2024 and will stay in the sign of Aquarius from November 2024 forward for about 20 years. 

Pluto’s main function in Astrology is to shed any unwanted or unnecessary elements and to transform things over time.  Pluto works beneath the surface and brings long overdue change although often not before some power struggles have played their part.  Pluto transforms and initiates evolutionary growth by breaking down structures that have outlived their worth.  There is often a period of deep reflection that leads to necessary change.  There are no halfway measures when it comes to the energies of Pluto.  Something must die for something new to begin.  It represents an ending of sorts and then a new beginning.

The sign Aquarius is often connected with humanitarian concerns.  Aquarius is progressive and has a vision for the future with new ideas.  The intension is to bestow the world with new ideas and involve others in this progression.  Aquarius has a vision and wants to make the world a better place for everyone.  The mission is a noble one with the general good of all intended. 

Aquarius provides excellent reasoning abilities with a compassionate view although the theme behind Aquarius can be rebellious, and it will push against any type of restraint.  Freedom is what Aquarius stands for and any sign of complacency to move forward is not what this is about.  Breaking away from structures that no longer work and finding a logical resolution to any problem that plagues mankind is what Aquarius strives to achieve.

Pluto in Capricorn was rather cold and was all about business and building structures that stand the test of time.  Now these structures, which can also be related to government and established systems need change as they no longer work effectively.  Letting go and moving forward may be a struggle, especially in the early stages of this evolutionary quest we now are starting to undertake. 

Over time, Pluto will move us in a different direction where humanity can recover from the past and move forward with great intent.  Much work will need to be done but much will remain beneath the surface and hidden for some time before we begin to see the effects. 

Any transitional period can be arduous, and the past can fight to try to hold on.  It will take willful people to do the work required and the ripple effects are already being felt. The old ways will not disappear without a fight but the new fights ahead are not about war and aggression, they are about peace and gentle reasoning with progressive action.

According to Astrology, we are at a critical stage in mankind’s development and have come to a crucial time to help with the transformation of this new age.  We are the forerunners, and we will work within the framework of what surrounds us and formulate a path forward enticing the general public to help and follow along the path of regeneration that is so badly needed in our war-torn world.

We politely say goodbye to Pluto in Capricorn and will welcome Pluto in Aquarius in its final and complete entrance in November, 2024.

PLUTO SEXTILE NATAL MOON

Pluto Sextile Moon

Transiting Pluto will be in the sign of Aquarius for many years yet to come.  Those with their Moon in sextile to Transiting Pluto (Moon in Aries or late Pisces, Moon in Sagittarius or late Scorpio), will be feeling the effects of this positioning for about 2-3 years because of Pluto’s slow movement (about 1° per year).

Pluto’s energies represent change and transformation due to the changes it brings to life.  It speaks of the end of conditions and the beginning of something new.  The end can relate to death of a person or the end of a situation and is often viewed as challenging until it passes which as mentioned can take some time.  Some individuals begin to feel the energies of Pluto as far away as 3-5° prior to being exact which could be up to and including 3-5 years prior to exactitude. 

Pluto brings with it evolution and is in place to eliminate things that are no longer suitable for your personal journey in life.  Some things need completion, and this is what Pluto does; it ends things.  There can be disputes and ego collapse. These can be quite intense as time passes and the intensity continues until we begin to adjust to whatever new has taken hold in our lives.  It is best in most cases to go with the flow of change.

The Moon has to do with our family, our need for nurturing and the need to nurture. It is closely linked with our emotional state.  The natal aspects to the Moon play a huge part in our emotional behavior and our reaction from an emotional standpoint.  The house placement of the Moon speaks of the area of life that is under emotional focus while the sign of the Moon is the direct link to our emotional interaction and behavior.  All this will play an important part in the evaluation of Transiting Pluto sextile Natal Moon.

The house Pluto is in during its transit and the natal position of Pluto along with its aspects will help define how Pluto will interact with our Natal Moon.  One thing is for certain, there will be transformations and regeneration from an emotional perspective with Pluto sextile Natal Moon.

The Sextile aspect is one of opportunity.  When Pluto and the Moon form this interaction, our emotional reaction to life is subject to deep introspection and then the likelihood of change is most apparent.  There may be changes within the family unit, with the mother, and is some cases, women in general.  The home environment may go through alterations.  Perhaps we will move or make significant changes to the home we live in.  If we are still living at home with our parents, this can be the time when we move out of our family home and gain independence and a whole new perspective on life.

As mentioned, this is an opportunity aspect and under most conditions a very favourable one. However, if we sit back and do nothing to make things happen, this opportunity may pass us by with little to no effect.  We must push to make things happen although sometimes things just seem to fall into our lap.

Our emotional nature defined by the house and sign position is subject to upheaval and transformation at this time. We can be the ones orchestrating something meaningful into our lives if we choose to do so.  This is a very favourable energy and can translate into action when it comes to our mother as mentioned and women in general. Perhaps, we are the ones who help initiate the change that is required.  Perhaps we can help when help is what is needed.  This may be an emotional experience, but over time, it should work out favourably for those involved. 

Let’s use the example of the natal Moon is in the seventh house and in the sign of Aries. With this scenario, in most cases, we are the ones who arrange what unfolds within the core of our relationship with our spouse.  We like to have control and we do what needs to be done because this is what we want. We believe that we know best.  This can also be reflected in important relationships, and if, for example, the transit of Pluto were in the fifth house then this might relate to our children or a love affair. Perhaps our creative potential is now part of an ongoing process involving a business relationship.

There are many scenarios, and much will be defined by the houses involved as mentioned. Be sure to look at the natal potential when deciding what this might mean for you or for the person that you may be working with.  This is an opportunity aspect so make sure that something is done with these transformative energies and work with what is in place.
