NEW MOON IN CANCER, 2024

New Moon in Cancer

On July 5, 2024, we will be experiencing a New Moon in the sign of Cancer at 14°.  This New Moon will impact those with planets or angles in their natal chart that fall withing 3-5° of this New Moon’s placement either by conjunction or opposition and to a lesser degree the Square, the Trine and the Sextile. The three latter aspects should be giving a tighter orb range.

This will be a time for nurturing and looking after those that you are close to.  This will include your children, parents, close friends and spouse.  Your emotions run high under this influence, and you are sensitive to any emotional hurt or mental anguish that might be experienced by any of these people. 

If you find that all is good with these individuals, then perhaps you are the one in need.  Perhaps someone has hurt you emotionally, and you are going through a hard time recovering from what has taken place.

If this is the case, sometimes we just need to let go and move forward, leaving the past behind and letting go of the hurt.  This can be difficult depending on how severe the incident might have been, but we all have the ability to recover from severe incidences in our lives.  If this pertains to one of your children, you will have to ascertain what is best under the circumstances, and of course their age, as you must deal with everyone on a different level.

The sign of Cancer can sometimes be related to issues from the past that may not have been dealt with accordingly.  Perhaps you need to clear up the residue of emotions or events from earlier times because you never fully dealt with them at that time.  The memory may be restored and suddenly you now recall what took place in a much clearer manner. Now might be the time to deal with this matter not only from an emotional perspective but rationally and with compassion at the same time.

This may also involve one of your parents and perhaps the time has come to think in terms of their health and welfare.  Perhaps they are of the age where you might want to look after them or they may need to investigate a retirement or senior’s home. 

The New Moon in Cancer, 2024 is a time when the senses are activated, and the intuitive side of life seems to come to the surface.  Channels may open for you and your insight may increase; much depends on the openness you have in these areas.

The New Moon’s energies have some type of focus on the beginning process, the time to plant seeds in the garden of life. As a result, it will be interesting to see where things travel as we nurture, progress and reach our culmination or harvest point in about six months’ time when the Full Moon is in the sign of Cancer.

GEMINI NEW MOON

Gemini New Moon

The New Moon on June 6, 2024, will be in the sign of Gemini at 16°.  This New Moon falls in the second decant suggesting that not only is there the influence of Gemini but it also has something to do with Libra (may have something to do with relationships).  The placement of the New Moon in your natal chart will help clarify this. 

A new Moon’s energies speak of new beginnings, the start of something and action taking to promote the best possible outcome as it matures.  Those that put forth the required effort into this energy will reap the rewards as time passes and reach the pinnacle in approximately six months when we experience the Full Moon in Gemini.

With the Gemini influence, this suggests that there will be at least two paths that can be pursued.  Gemini often speaks of duality and different avenues to follow.  If this is a relationship, perhaps there are two suitors or two different options available.  There may be some struggles in making up your mind as to which path to take because transiting Saturn in Pisces is square to this position of the New Moon. 

Perhaps there are two people that are of interest especially so because of the conjunction of Venus, which often speaks of a young female.  Venus can also speak of finances and perhaps finances are involved as well.  Venus is about socializing and often is tied in with love and affection. In square to Saturn suggests that this might feel like a testing period where things do not move along as planned and feel as though they are moving far too slow.  Advancement may be hindered in some way.

The Gemini New Moon can make you subject to variable circumstances.  You will likely find that you can adapt to situations somewhat easier than normal depending on what the rest of the natal chart is indicating.  Those that do not willingly bend with life situations may find that they can adapt more easily under this Gemini and that although not customary may now be able to change with the flow of life.  Those that are adaptable and changeable may find this time even more so and may also have a difficult time settling into the situation although they are usually adaptable. 

With a Gemini new Moon with Libra overtones, you may set new goals for a relationship. Saturn will have its influence and what you might want is stability but this may be subject to change and adapting is what needs to take place.

TAURUS NEW MOON

On May 7, 2024, we will be experiencing a very favorable New Moon placement especially for those with planets either in conjunction or in opposition to this Taurus placement by no more than 3°.  The energies of a New Moon signal a new beginning where we plant the seeds we want to grow in our garden of life.  It is the beginning of something that you might have been working towards or the start of something brand new.  Either way, it signals something new is ready to take its first steps.

Taurus New Moon

This New Moon is in the sign of Taurus at 28° and will affect those with planets or one of the four angles from 25° of either Taurus or Scorpio to 1° of either Gemini or Sagittarius.  These are the placements of the conjunction and opposition.  Those with the square and sextile along with the trine may also experience a similar influence but likely not as powerful.

This is a time to initiate something that will come to its fruition some six months down the road when we are experiencing the full Moon in Taurus (November 15, 2024).  The Full Moon in Taurus will be the harvest of what has taken hold now and what you do during the next six months will tell the story of how things look at that time. We must nurture seeds to bring them to fruition.

In Taurus, the new moon speaks about creating something that stands the test of time, something that will build and grow and offer security on some level.  This has something to do with reliability and a steadfast approach. It is understood that it will take time to bring these energies into fruition and at the same time, understood that it will take hard work and a disciplined effort too.  You cannot become complacent and the effort you put forward is a direct indicator of the results you will experience.  If you don’t work hard towards an end result, you will likely need to either reevaluate or let go come the Taurus Full Moon.

The reason behind this push for hard work is that these energies have potential and are likely favorable. This is indicated by the placement of the New Moon which is sextile to Mars and Neptune. Mars is in the early stages of Aries and Neptune the late stages of Pisces.  Mars has to do with drive and ambition and is highly suggestive of the ability to really push forward with your objectives.  It is like a relentless force pushing you towards your goals and opportunities that are in front of you.  Neptune has to do with psychic perception and the potential of dreams becoming reality.  This is a gentle force where love and affection can be part of the picture, but insight is strong and a willingness to serve a higher purpose is part of the picture.  Together these indicators can assist in moving ahead, and because of the sextile, there is a suggestion of opportunities that are waiting but must be pursued if your wish is to make things happen.

There is also a trine from Transiting Pluto which is at the early degrees of Aquarius. Pluto is all about transformations and an indication that something is ending and that something new is on the horizon.  Pluto often suggests that there may have been power struggles and challenging situations along the way, but the trine suggests that the energies associated with this powerful force for change is in place and that it will take some time for you to completely see where this energy takes you. 

Know that something must be left behind for something new to begin and there are no halfway measures about what lies ahead.  The trine suggests easy flow and good fortune as well as opportunities at hand but expect some difficulties along the way especially if you are unwilling to let go of what has been in place previously.

Take advantage of the energies at hand with this Taurus New Moon.  Plant some seeds and nurture them.
