THE VERTEX

The Vertex

The Vertex and anti-Vertex are points calculated within the framework of the chart, one exactly opposite the other using your exact birth time. 

They are both connected to meetings with others.  There is a feeling of destiny and karmic attached to the significance behind these meetings.  Known as points of destiny, sometimes creating turning points in life.  These meetings with others seem fateful and, in many cases, it is as if you have known this individual previously.

The Vertex has similarities to the Descendent and the Anti-Vertex has similarities to the Ascendant. 

The Vertex, which is associated with others and our meeting, suggest a feeling that these individuals may fill something that is missing within us, (almost having the effect of assisting in making us feel whole).  There is the feeling of having very little control over the situation and our meeting point. It feels fated in some manner, like it was meant to happen.

The Anti-Vertex has similarities with the Ascendant, but it seems as though when we meet these individuals there is no choice in the matter and once again fated on some level.  With the Anti-Vertex, these people affect us but not with the same impact as the Vertex. The Anti-Vertex people do not make us feel whole, but they can play a significant role in our lives.  The experiences we share, once again, feel fated and affect us in personal terms.

The Vertex and Anti-Vertex can be used in many different purposed charts, including the Natal chart, the Progressed chart, and the Solar chart.  When connected with Planets or points in these charts, the Vertex and Anti-Vertex are extremely significant.  The Planet that is contacted especially by Conjunction, but also by Opposition, Trine, Sextile and Square will define the energies brought forward. 

A couple of examples might be a Saturn contact suggesting someone enters our life who offers more responsibilities and may assist or hold us back in our objectives particularly tied to our career.  This person may be older or someone in authority. 

If the Moon is involved, it could be someone with an emotional connection, or someone who is tied in some way to family and is highly sensitive.  Don’t forget it may just be someone who enters your life because of an important experience that is required.

LIBRA FULL MOON 2025

A Full Moon signifies the conclusion or harvest time of seeds we planted in the garden of life some six months ago when we had the New Moon in the same sign. What began then is now completing its course, and the fruits of our labors are revealed to us.  These results or culmination points are directly related to the amount of energy we put forth to reach our goals.

Full Moon in Libra, 2025

This Full Moon is in the sign of Libra at 23°.  Libra often has to do with relationships and the need for balance and harmony associated with people that are important to us.  Partnership is often what this speaks to and the house in your chart this Full Moon is found in will indicate the area of life involved.

The astrological houses (12 all together) ruled by signs on the cusps and occupied by planets will have a huge impact on how this energy plays out.  For example, if the eighth house is involved or highlighted then shared resources are part of the picture.  If the fourth house is involved, the home and family will be active agents during this phase.  If there are planets that are either primarily in Conjunction or in Opposition to this placement and only out by no more than 3°, they are influences in the unfolding story.  It will also be important to see how these planets are configured within the framework of the Natal chart.

A Full Moon always has the Moon and Sun in opposition to one another.  In this case, the Sun is Conjunct tightly with Chiron, known as the wounded healer.  Chiron’s Natal position in the Birth chart often depicts an area where you are good at healing others but not so good at healing yourself.  When Conjunct the Sun, it indicates that your goals, aspirations and path in life need healing at this point in time. 

This can also speak of the Husband or Father, and it suggests that some harmonizing is necessary to achieve the healing that needs to unfold, and a balancing act will likely be part of the process.  You may want to be diplomatic at this time and avoid any confrontations if possible.  Work within the realms of peace and gentleness but say what must be said.  This has been in place for some time now. Time will tell how you have made out in these endeavors. 

In summary, the Libra Full Moon 2025 represents the harvest of something you have been working towards over the past 6 months likely involving relationships, balance and harmony. Enjoy your rewards.

NEPTUNE SEXTILE NATAL MARS

Transiting Neptune entered Aries on March 30, 2025.  It does go back into Pisces for a short period of time (October 22, 2025, to January 26, 2026) and then after January 2026 remains in Aries until it moves into Taurus in approximately 14 years. 

The Sextile aspect (60° between two planets or angles) is considered a major aspect. (The Conjunction, Trine, Square and Opposition are also major aspects.) Normally, we find we begin to feel the energetic influence of any major aspects at about 3-5° prior to becoming direct as well as about 2-3° separating.  When direct (exactly at the degree), this will be the time when the aspects’ energies are most intense.  A transit from transiting Mars, the Sun or transiting Uranus will set in motion the interlinking energies of the planets (used to establish correct timing) that are making aspects together.  The progressed Moon can also be used as a timer.

The Sextile aspect is an aspect of opportunity and like the Trine often presents the individual with favourable opportunities, easy flow, pleasant or generally good outcomes, but unlike the Trine (which operates in such a way that little work on the part of the individual involved is required) the Sextile often needs a push or effort from the individual to create results from the opportunity.

Neptune, operating in its positive sense, brings to the forefront artistic abilities, creative potential, the want to help others and for those so inclined, can open the door for greater psychic perception. More insight and intuitive abilities can rise to the surface potentially providing those affected by this aspect with opportunities for advancement with these subjects.

Natal Mars, depending on its position in the birth chart, often produces a driving force and is a motivating factor for achievement.  It can also have something to do with our sex drive and can become aggressive in this pursuit, depending on which sign and the natal aspect configurations affecting Mars.  It can be confrontational, easily aroused and provide us with a push when we need it (and at the most opportune moments).

Neptune Sextile Natal Mars

Neptune and Mars together can provide the push needed to bring forward some of life’s mysteries, create artistic opportunities for advancement and lead to favorable life events because we now have the ability to push ourselves a little harder with few reservations.  The opportunity is in place, but it will be up to the individual involved to make things happen.  Sitting back idle will not help with achieving what may be wanted. It is up to the individual to put in the work required to accomplish goals.

Much will depend on the overall condition of Natal Mars, along with any other transits and progressions in play at the same time.  The houses impacted will define what potential lies ahead and what areas of life are involved.
