Those with their Sun in the early degrees of Aries will have the transit of Pluto entering Aquarius making a sextile to this solar placement. This offers opportunities that can alter life in a significant manner. The path ahead can change dynamically.

Those with their Sun towards the end of Aries will experience the conjunction of the North Node towards the middle of July and as it moves down in degrees (the Nodes generally travel in retrograde although they do go into direct motion as well) the remaining Sun in Aries individuals will be experiencing this placement towards the end of 2024. This is a powerful conjunction which often brings important people into your life and life’s direction is often well lit and understood as time passes.

The Sun moved out of the gentle, passive and introverted sign of Pisces (depending on the rest of the chart of course) into the sign of Aries, a much more aggressive and extroverted sign on March 20, 2023.

On March 21, 2023, we will be experiencing a New Moon at 0° in the sign of Aries. The Moon will be square Mars at 28° in Gemini, opposition to Ceres which is at 0° Libra and sextile to Pluto at 29° Capricorn. Those with planets or angles within 3° of the placement of the New Moon will be influenced in their natal chart. These influences will be most prominent for the remainder of March and well into April.

A New Moon is the beginning of a cycle which reaches its culmination point about 6 months from not when the Full Moon in the sign of Aries. A new Moon suggest that it is time to plant life’s seeds and the Full Moon will be their harvest.

With the Arian influence the focus will be on you and your needs. What you do at this time revolves around personal issues or personal commitments. You are starting a new cycle and it has to be about what you need and what you want. This is a time when you come first and what you initiate will be important to you personally although others can also be part of the picture. Much depends on which house in your chart the New Moon is located in as that will indicate the area of life most affected.

Be sure not to rush into anything. Take the initiative but also take your time to think things out before you advance. The energy and time spent will be directly reflected in the outcome of your actions.

The opposition to Ceres suggests some mothering will be required, perhaps something related to looking after a situation or nurturing an individual. Oppositions often involve other people and in many cases these individuals may be the ones that initiate the activity. The beauty of a squares is that it is frustrating enough that it often force us into action. The sextile to Pluto suggests that there may be some power struggles along the way. Something new begins, leaving behind whatever no longer suits the growth and potential to come. The outcome as mentioned depends on the energy you put into the process but the sextile suggests that there is an opportunity. A potential favourable situations can arise when approached with the correct mindset. Arguments and power struggles are often part of the process but something good can come out of most situations if you handle it correctly.

On March 20, 2023 at 5:24 P.M. EDT, we will experience the Spring vernal equinox (Ostra). The Spring equinox is when the Sun is exactly above the Equator and day and night are of equal length-the balance of light and dark.

There is promise of a fresh start and renewal. Our world and our lives shed their wintery blanket and light shines forth.

Sprouts will begin to push their way through the soil, trees will bud, the grass greens, snowflakes transform to raindrops and there is the promise of flowers, colour, new life.

Even without the telltale signs of nature, we know in our heart renewal is coming. Beyond these internal feeling, in a more intangible way, we see the change in the shadows, we feel it in the air, we hear it from nature and smell it in the wind if we take the time to place our focus on these things.

Along with this new life springing forth in nature, there is the ability to have fresh starts in our own lives. This is a time of renewed vigor, an awakening. This can draw us nearer to the promise of warmth and sunshine in our hearts and souls, not just in nature. We can mirror and utilize the energy brought on through the change of the seasons to stimulate and push us in our pursuits, new or old.

A new beginning is at hand with the promise of personal growth depending on the seeds we now sow.

This is the time to renew our motivation, to push ahead and find outlets which can help us renew our commitment to ourselves for further growth, expansion, and evolution.

Springs seems to afford us the energy to move ahead more willingly in our endeavours, particularly those that we had allowed to sleep during the winter.

This renewed vigor can propel us into new-found areas that may not have been available throughout the winter. It is truly up to us what we plan to do with this energy and whether we utilize it or whether we allow it to slip by.

On March 8, 2023, Saturn moved into Pisces and stays in this sign for approximately 2 ½ years.

Those with a spiritual nature may find that their beliefs may be tested. You will see how strong your beliefs actually are and whether or not you choose to change some of your beliefs during this time. If for example Mercury were in Pisces and perhaps your Sun in conjunct Mercury, and Saturn makes an aspect to this placement, your intellect and mental conditioning may be tested. You might have to choose between what looks like fact and what is fiction. This can be a reality check in many ways as Saturn will test your resolve.

Although Saturn usually brings with it a testing period, when in direct motion energies flow easier. If you have planets connected when T Saturn goes into its direct cycle the odds for resolution and definitive answers might flow much easier. This is not to say that Saturn will close doors when it is retrograde but you will have to work harder during these times. Saturn’s placement through the Zodiac will determine which area of life will be influenced and its natal placement will add to the full story of what its energies are suggesting at this time.

Saturn has been in Aquarius for about 2 ½ years and it is quite comfortable in this sign as it is the traditional ruler of Aquarius. It is still considered by many Astrologers to be its co-ruler.

In Pisces, Saturn will operate on a different level although it always promotes teachings that over time prove to be beneficial. If Saturn moves you in a new direction it will likely not happen quickly and it may take some time to become comfortable in your new situation. Over time you will recognize that what took place was necessary. You will function better under the new situation or learn to adjust to old ways if no changes take place. Sometimes Saturn’s lessons speak of realizing what is in front of you and knowing that this is what should be in place even after long deliberation on whether or not to make changes.

Is life riddled with difficulties?

Do you ask, “why me”?

Some say it is Karma and some say we are building our Karma for the future by what we are experiencing now. Does that mean we have to just except and take our lumps?

Are we truly at the mercy of life?

We are at the mercy of our expectations, and our belief structures. We can make changes any time. If we stand still and do nothing, we cannot expect life to make changes for us. You are capable of being happy. You are worth the effort.

You can leave unpleasant situations but you cannot predict the outcome. Due to the unknown, many remain in situations that are unnecessary and halt life’s growth.

You learn from your experiences but you can still learn and have happiness and balance.

The past cannot be changed, and the future is still ahead of us. You do not know where you are heading, yet expectations can hold relevance as to where you end up.

If you don’t like what is in front of you, have the courage to adjust. If you are afraid of change question why. If you won’t make changes to your current situation then you must make changes to your attitude towards it. If you want change and need assistance reach out for help. You are never alone. Life can and will adjust when you decide to take that steps into the unknown.

On March 8, 2023, Saturn moved into Pisces and will stay in this sign for approximately 2½ years.

Saturn often makes us work for our rewards. Nothing comes easy even when Saturn is well aspected in the natal chart. Saturn challenged in the birth chart can make life difficult and hard lessons are often the by-product of its influence. With hard work and disciplined efforts, however, the outcomes of this hard work can be very rewarding.

Saturn if often connected to achievement and advancement in such areas as business ventures, whether this be connected to achievement in your business or advancement within an organization. It is often connected to earthly matters. Saturn’s energies can be restrictive, cause delays, hardships, duties, obligations, and in general challenging conditions. It suggests hard work lies ahead when it connects to areas in the chart but also builds solid foundations that stand the test of time. Saturn is known as the teacher and the disciplinarian of the Zodiac and its natural ruler is Capricorn.

Pisces is often associated with spirituality and gentleness. It desires serene and peaceful conditions. Many Piscean (although other factors in the chart can change this somewhat) like life to go smoothly and do not like harsh conditions or rough or aggressive situations. They are the givers of the Zodiac and service on some level is often indicated. With Saturn in Pisces this resolve may be tested. If it connects with parts of your chart depending on which angle or which planet, Saturn in Pisces may suggest a battle between what needs to be asserted and the desire to let things go so as not to create any disruptions to the relative peace.

Look at our steady progress. There are many points during our journey that we feel a sense of belonging and comfort in our environment. This environment is not our location on earth but our connection with self on an innate level.

It is confirmation of the inner truths that we seek to remember. It does not matter where we have set our earthly feet. What we have gained on a material level should have nothing to do with our concept of self. With an ongoing exploration of self, we strive for the summit of understanding and slowly regain a connection with our inner core. Our soul’s energy is our true identity, and when we open the door to self-perception, we allow this energy to emerge.

This brings us one step closer to our recognizable link with the whole, the divine, God, our source, or simply put “love”. Use the name you are most comfortable with.

The more peace we allow ourselves to experience and the less we identify with ego, the closer we align with our true self and reconnect with the whole.

The inner battles we wage do not serve a viable purpose but we become so caught up in the battle we cannot see beyond it. These battles only create havoc. To find our inner peace, we must allow love. Through love, our ego no longer defines life by fighting to keep control, fighting to be right, fighting to win the battle.

Ego let’s go when we take steps forward in faith. Letting go and letting love is a difficult lesson. Once the conscious decision has been made, it becomes much easier.

As we have stated many times, we are a spiritual being living an earthly existence. Open your heart and allow.

For the duration of March, T Jupiter and Chiron will be in conjunction. Jupiter which moves about 1° every 4 or 5 days will move out of orb towards the end of March but they form a tight conjunction on March 12. Chiron moves about 1° approximately every 3 weeks.

They conjunct in the sign of Aries, which implies that you will have to do the work. Depend on no one else and take control of healing whatever needs healing at this time. In some cases you can help facilitate this healing for others but in most cases this is directed towards what needs to be done for you. Question what you need and how to activate this into your life.

Jupiter (the greater benefic) can provide what is needed especially when other indicators in the chart suggest the same (eg positive aspects to your Sun or Ascendant). However Jupiter, known to expand on things if poorly aspected, can indicate that the challenge that is being faced is now at a maximum and needs your immediate attention.

The opportunity is in place for healing regardless of other indicators in the chart and if we use these energies well and push ahead much can be accomplished. The area of life will be indicated by the houses involved and an angle or planet in the natal chart will have to be activated for this to have influence in your life. The conjunction especially with inner planets or opposition will magnify this placement. Use an orb of up to 5-7° for this placement to be active in your chart.

Many times this signifies a new beginning especially if Pluto is involved (something comes to an end in order for something new to begin). It can also speak of spiritual alignment and healing that needs to take place especially if Neptune and the 6th or 12th houses are involved. If the 2nd or 8th houses are part of the picture then finances and security may be part of the picture. If the MC or IC are involved the parents may be involved. If the Ascendant and DC are involved relationships are often part of the process.

On March 7, 2023, we will experience a Full Moon in the sign of Virgo @ 16°. Virgo tends to see all the little and important details. Virgo is calculated, detail oriented, and seeks perfection (at least the closest thing to it). This will be a time of organization and putting things in order, a time for reflection on what took place some six months ago when this all began with the New Moon in Virgo.

T Jupiter (13°) and Venus (17°) in Aries are both making a quincunx to this placement of the moon. This often suggests that there are some challenges, alterations and adjustments at hand. You will see the results of what has been in play for the past six months. You may need to address the situation. Venus and Jupiter are very favourable planets and bring good luck, love and affection and in general promising outcomes, so this may not be a hard lesson, but adjustments are often part of the requirement.

Perhaps goals have not unfolded the way you might have wanted them to. Make some changes. Perhaps things are not flowing smoothly so you must adjust to the situation or make alterations to what is in place. This could be a relationship but likely relates to some type of obligation, duty or service. It could be related to your occupation and the working environment especially if the 10th or 6th houses are involved.

T Uranus is also part of this configuration making a trine to this placement at 15° Taurus. Uranus in favourable aspect can bring changes of direction, sudden and unexpected turns of events moving you in a whole new direction. Uranus opens the door to realization and pushes us to move in the appropriate direction. The past environment no longer suits where you now need to be. Change is a given and it may take a while to settle in. This is not a bad thing although often people are not comfortable with change.

If we travel to less developed areas of the world we learn to appreciate the things we take for granted. There is so much upheaval around our world and people struggle to survive let alone flourish.

We complain about the price of our food (justifiably) yet in some areas there is no food to buy, at any price. We complain about our wages and the cost of living forgetting the state of the world at large. Some complain about their health care not recognizing it is nonexistent in other areas of the world.

Not to diminish our needs, but perhaps we can stop paying such close attention to what we think is missing in our life and perhaps appreciate what is there.

We in the developed world live gifted lives.

We can help those in more challenging situations e.g. volunteer, teach, donate, fundraise, etc. It is important to be concerned and show compassion and understanding (as best we can).

At the time of writing this post (March 2023) transiting Neptune is 24° Pisces. This trine to the Ascendant giving a 5° orb of influence will apply to those with their Sun in the later degrees of Cancer or Scorpio.

T Neptune’s energies in its natural ruling sign of Pisces flow well. Neptune and Pisces are often linked to spirituality and the mystical alignment. It is said to be the final stage of evolution depending on the spiritual growth of the individual in question. Each of us has had troubles in life. Why then do you feel uncomfortable about making decisions, believing in yourself, taking the next step?

Why do you fall into the grips of self-defeating ideologies?

Many people seek confidence from outside sources but this must come from within.

Confidence is a building process. It does not happen overnight. It has taken our lifetime to reach our current state and it can take time and patience to start a new building process. Step one is to recognize that the only one that can truly help you is you. Others can help plant seeds but ultimately it is up to you to nurture the germination and growth.

Outside influences can and will influence you but you are the one that decides to hold on to what took place or to learn from the experience and release the energies. To hold on and own an experience can and will influence your happiness and peace.

Identifying what you are holding on to can be your step two. Do not allow past experiences to stop you from moving forward and living life to its fullest. Holding on to past experiences includes holding on to your attitude and expectations created from these experiences. You are meant to learn from experiences but not meant to take up residence there. You can’t ignore or pretend that events did not happen. Ignoring is giving the event energy. You are adding to this because you are still thinking about these matters through you effort to ignore.

Accept, process and then release. Move on and be in the moment.

You are not your thoughts; you are the one listening to them. The mind is much like a computer, and it only holds what you program into it. Be patient with yourself. With continued effort you will see yourself through difficult lessons. The key is to recognize non-productive thoughts. Remain steadfast in your practice and believe in yourself.

Remember the universe, God, life ….call it whatever you want…does not judge what you focus on, it just provides more of like energy. Focus on lacking and you will feel as though life is lacking. Focus on abundance and life will be abundant. The choice is yours.

While writing this post, Saturn is transiting the later degrees of Aquarius. On March 7/23 T Saturn moves into Pisces. While T Saturn is in Aquarius it squares anyone with their natal Ascendant in the later degrees of Scorpio or Taurus. While in Pisces, it will square anyone with their Ascendant in Sagittarius and Gemini. Check the degree of T Saturn and compare to the degree of your natal Ascendant.

The two energies of Saturn and Pisces do not always gel well. Saturn is not in its fall or detriment, but Saturn has to do with reality and facts while Pisces is rather spiritual, sensitive, and altruistic. In many cases Pisces does not do well with hard cold facts. As you can imagine Saturn has its eye on the material world and Pisces wants nothing more than to merge with the unseen or “feel” rather than intellectualize.

The beauty of Saturn moving into Pisces is its energies will bring out what is clear and concise, although not without some distaste, especially when it is in square aspect.

When Saturn is square to the Ascendant it is time to get to the facts of what you want to change or which way you might want to move ahead in your life. The Ascendant is quite personal and can be tied with goals and the way you define yourself in public. Saturn will make you review who you are internally and how you represent yourself on the outside world. Struggles will be evident and although you might not like all of what you see, now may be the time to make some significant changes.

If you have Scorpio as the Ascendant, most likely there will be some deep inner reflection and the surfacing of parts of your outer personality that you feel might need change in direction. Perhaps you have been too reserved or too much has been held in. Now you need to bring things to the surface that have been waiting to reveal themselves. Of course, with Scorpio rising there will always be a part of you that remains a secret. Not everything needs to be revealed.

T Saturn will likely be in the 3rd or 4th house so changes in communication techniques, everyday experience or within the home and family might be part of the process.

If a Gemini Ascendant (in effect early spring of 2023 when transiting Saturn now in Pisces makes a square to your Gemini Ascendant) you may find that your style of communication may need some tweaking. On February 18, 2023, the Sun moved into the mutable, water sign of Pisces. At the time of this post, Neptune is at the mid twenty-degree range in Pisces. For those with their Sun in Pisces and close to these degrees, you will be experiencing the conjunction of this powerfully psychic and inspirational planet although it can also be quite illusive at times. There may be a lot of self-analyses going on and questioning of which path to take. There may be a high influx of psychic experiences for those so inclined. Pay particular attention to the dream state and push meditation practices particularly during this transit as the experience may be quite extraordinary.

If there are other indicators in the natal chart along with this transits, you may feel lost, questioning which way you should be moving or which goals you should be aiming for. Neptune can color the imagination and make things rather vague. If this applies to you, perhaps waiting out this transit and letting these energies subside may be the answer.

T Pluto is also making a sextile (an opportunity aspect) for those with their Sun in the final degrees of Pisces. Pluto has been in Capricorn for a long time and those with their Sun in Pisces will have felt its powerful effects in their lives. There is nothing halfway about Pluto and its action is not only to change life’s conditions but to bring an end to anything that no longer serves a viable purpose and to transform it completely. Pluto (although it can be quite challenging) takes us from a path that needed changing and over time we will recognize how its influence actually pushed us in the right direction. It may not be easy and may be hard to understand in the beginning but over time it explains itself.

What you wish you could be and what you can visualize is attainable or you would not be able to envision it. Believe it is a possibility, then take steps towards that realization.

On the weekend, the Sun moved from the fixed, air sign of Aquarius into the mutable, water sign of Pisces (February 18, 2023). Pisces unlike Aquarius is not about the thinking process (Aquarius is an air sign); it is about feeling things out. Pisces is about letting go and having faith in the process, believing in service to the higher realms and allowing the mystical to step into your life.

Pisces is the most sensitive and gentle sign of the Zodiac. It has concerns for the underdog, swims in the unconscious realms of reality and is highly attuned to alignment with the unseen. There is a mystical quality to many with this water sign. There is also a tendency to look for the best in others and to avoid any hard conflicting aggressive life experiences. Some Pisceans resort to escapism when faced with less than desirable experiences. They can turn to drugs or alcohol to soften reality. Others turn to music and the arts finding relief and peace in these avenues of expression and release.

How often to you take a deep look within?

We are continually affected by life circumstances and may unknowingly take on qualities we consciously may not want to. Perhaps we have become resentful or jealous and compared ourselves to others.

An honest look is required to maintain growth and to understand ourselves. We can easily get caught up in survival and forget to live.

Change is rarely easy but being honest and seeing things as they truly are is the first step. Reacting instead of responding mindfully to life can cause us tarnish and we have to remember to polish away what does not belong. Although we may not particularly like what we see, the beautiful you is still there under the disguise of our reaction to events.

Hold yourself accountable but do not forget to forgive yourself too. Stop identifying with these qualities. Recognize that you have become aware of them. Without this recognition you cannot change them.

The self-study can be hard. Once we decide to make changes the process becomes easier. A little push is often all that is needed. No one is perfect. Be gentle and patient with yourself. If you stumble, simply get back up and continue on. One step at a time. Recognize where you came from and the progress you have already made to this point.

Be proud of your achievements and believe in yourself. You can do this!
