There are times when life events just seem to fall into place. What has not worked previously suddenly begins to take shape much to our dismay.

Some of these moments are worldly and others are not so worldly, in fact they are other worldly. They might be considered mystical or enlightening. Sometimes a door opens and a light shines not only on us but through us. We make connections that we never thought possible and life will never be the same again.

These are truly magic moments. They arrived because we were ready and able to accept them as they are. They are not common, and it may be a long time until the next magic moment comes our way. Embrace what has happened and be grateful.

Special gifts come to us in many different form. They can be a blessing even when they initially do not appear that way.

Sometimes we lose a job that we thought we could never replace. However something new comes along that we never thought was possible. Sometimes a relationship ends but once again it ended because that individual was no longer suitable for our evolutionary growth. Now someone new beyond our expectation walks into our lives.

It can take time to move beyond a specific life situation. During the transition do some self-evaluation and inner reflection. The timing is ripe for it.

Magic Moments can be rare. Take advantage and realize how fortunate we are that they transpire. For those that have yet to experience this in their life, open your heart! Let life in and believe that you deserve one of these moments. Only you hold yourself back. If you believe it will never happen, you are creating a self-fulfilling prophecy. On the other side of the coin, if you believe it will happen, you are also creating a self-fulfilling prophecy. Be open to experiencing one of these moments.

Are you hopeful?

Is a change in your focus required?

Getting caught up in life’s struggles can be a hard habit to break. As mentioned in many previous posts, control of our focus is a staple. Our focus amplifies whatever we are focused on. It can create peace if that is our focus or it can amplify chaos if that is where we focus.

When we reach out for help or go within for direction, we begin the process of opening the door to hope and the eventual light that follows. Hope is the first step in creating change.

From hope we step into “knowing”. When we foster knowing, life begins to shift. We are becoming aware of the thought process and how it dictates our life. We can now know beyond doubt that the shift we are looking for begins with us.

Enlightenment stems from this process. As we open the door to encourage it, we release doubt and anxiety. Enlightenment is the knowing process brought forward by eliminating any thoughts of defeat. We allow ourselves to be enlightened beings simply by following the thoughts that bring us peace.

This may not happen overnight. We have programmed ourselves to allow stress and anxiety for most of our lives. The truth, however, is now accessible through our attitude of change. It has always been available but we have not allowed it. You and you alone hold the key to advancing this. Believe in yourself and be open. You will achieve whatever you set out to. Will it be hope and enlightenment?

Life is a complex series of events and experiences. We move through life and learn from each event. In many cases we must sift through our mind to understand some of these events. The people involved can take us to places we don’t want to go or in contrast show us places we never imagined possible. Life is complicated at times especially when there are hard lessons to learn. We are here to experience, however, and life is the teacher.

Regardless of how life unfolds, it is imperative to wrap our arms around it and know that no matter what comes our way we will grow from these experiences. If it was easy all the time, we would stagnate.

Some believe that are being here is a choice. Some believe that we picked this life and our life’s circumstances. This can be hard to grasp especially when we go through trauma and stressful experiences.

When we recognize that we must take responsibility for, at the bare minimum, our response to life, life can change. This does not mean that when someone harms us we take responsibility for their actions. What it does mean is that on some level it will assist us to grow and hopefully at some point let go and move on.

Life can be hard, but it can also be magnificent. Life is full of wonder and a life well lived encompasses both trying and pleasurable experiences.

What is your response when someone speaks aggressively towards you?

Do you react or respond?

We all respond differently to aggression, both physically and emotionally.

Standing up and fighting for your rights is important but this should not come from a reactive state but a thought-out proactive state. Under no circumstance is a physical reaction acceptable.

We cannot do anything about someone else’s intension or action, but we can control our response. In any situation ask yourself if a stance is worth pursuing. Someone else’s actions should not be allowed to freely live in your mind or affect your emotions. The choice is yours. Remember, vengeance and violence are not a solution. Walking away is a sign of strength in many cases.

What happened in the past should stay in the past. What you do in the moment is a choice – react or respond.

Live in the moment.

Reaction can rise quickly but with practice and thoughtfulness, it can be controlled.

Consistency is required when achieve something of significance in life. We must give our full effort and remain constant to move anything of substance forward. The beginning is always the hardest, as our primary actions creates what lies ahead and how our goal will develop.

Maintaining our push ahead or drive to achieve will often have obstacles which at times can hold us back. Sometimes the force against us seems momentous. We can feel that our efforts are fruitless. These are the times when we need to be resilient and consistent regardless of what stands in the way. Match resistance with determination.

We gain strength, endurance and patience during these times of apparent setbacks. We become stronger and realize that we have what it takes to move ahead. Ask yourself if this drive and push to achieve has merit. Do what is just and what is required (for you and for others).

Consistency builds momentum and advances us. Without consistency and a willingness to push through challenges, we may not succeed. Sometimes we need to push ourselves beyond our comfort zone.

On a side note, “How will our actions affect others?” is an important question. Is our approach based on revenge or are we doing what we feel needs to be done because it is just? Justice at times is not what it appears, and self-righteousness should not get in the way of what should be done. Do nothing through hate.

We hear it regularly to “be here now in the moment”. This practice brings into focus what is significant in our lives in the present moment.

On some level time seems to slow down when we are focused on the here and now. Stop for a moment and watch the clock as it rounds the one-minute cycle. Did that moment pass quickly?

Of course, we are not here to sit and watch the hands of time. We have things to do as life is full of experiences. Yesterday, however, is gone. Although it held lessons it is no longer where we need to focus our attention. Lingering in “what was” serves no purpose, especially with grief and despair. Process the experience, learn the lessons but do not live in them. We are meant to experience life as it is in the moment and then follow through into the next moment as it arrives. Holding on to negativity or “how things used to be” robs us of the experience of now and holds us prisoner to what was.

Our focus brings forth what we are aligning with, so focus or concentration is relevant. We are the creators of our life, and our focus opens or closes doors for what’s to come.

Dwelling on bad experiences magnifies the experience. It only allows us to focus on negativity. Although we learn from our challenges we are not meant to take up residence there. We are visitors of each experience and by accepting and then letting go we open the door for something of greater substance to enter. Living in the moment does not include past experiences or anticipation of future experiences. The moment only holds with it the ever-present now.

Life is offering gifts to us now. The experiences of the present moment will help create our future but once gone must be left in the moment past. Nothing disappears but wishing for the past or worrying about the future does nothing to enhance the current experience. It does squander the moment however.

Let’s move out of yesterday and into now.

All we truly have is this moment!

Our children and the children of others can become important influences in our lives. Some begin child rearing at an early age, and our lives take on a new route, often a very unfamiliar one.

For those that believe in or are open to the concept of reincarnation, it is said that we choose our parents and our children, and they too choose us. Our life’s journey combines these special people, and we share this life’s experience to grow. It is an honor to come together with these people.

When our children are young, they rely on us for guidance, nurturing, etc. We do the best we can to provide them with what they need. Sometimes we fall short because of situations beyond our control, and we do make mistakes along the way. We are human and to err is part of the process. They are part of our lessons. We cannot hold on to what we did in the past, but we can certainly do what we need to do in the present without repeating old mistakes.

As these children begin maturing they still subconsciously rely on us but this can be difficult as they reach the stage that they feel they know what is best for themselves (often the teenage years). They become more and more consciously influenced by their peers but we still need to be an example for them.

Once they leave home, they are their own person but will always be our children. We still guide them but now they will walk the road that they feel best suits them. They listen even when it appears they are not. It is time to let go however and trust that the seeds you planted in the early years will continue to grow. It is time for them to walk their own road and make their own mistakes to learn.

If we picked this life, which many teachings suggest, then they also picked their own life. These children, as we did, will walk their own personal road. There is a spiritual plan in place for each of us. We will move in the direction we are supposed to even if it feels off at times. We will learn what we need to learn as life passes.

Enjoy your little ones. They grow quickly. Enjoy parenthood and watching these children mature into themselves. Be grateful that they are in your life, even when challenging conditions weigh heavy.

Love them unconditionally.

We all experience times when we could use a helping hand. In some cases, someone is right there to help when we need them. Other times it seems as though no one knows what to say or do. We are faced with uncertainty and experience anxiety.

There will certainly be times when professional help is ideal. With a professionals skills and training, they can show us how to do the work required to overcome these obstacles.

“Tough times” are perfect lessons to teach us to overcome and gain inner strength, personal resolve and the list goes on. It is our determination and digging deep that teaches us strength and self-worth to name a few. In most cases there is no easy way out and we must acknowledge that it will take some hard work and discipline on our part to overcome life’s challenges.

Sometimes we see friends, relatives or strangers for that matter that are going through difficult times and we can be their shoulder to lean on. As we conquer our own challenges we become stronger and learn. We, then, can help others because of our own personal experiences. We can share our knowledge from our experiences.

As we open to our own lessons, we grow. We then can move from student (on that subject) to teacher when we are asked for help which may be as simple as an ear to listen or a hug.

Life has many lessons to offer. Be open to what is being offered.

Fortunately for most of us our reasoning abilities are strong and reliable although we may have restraints and reservations whether to follow through on some issues. We make decisions in the present moment yet fortunately or unfortunately the past influences this process.

The mind can interfere creating fear and anxiety based on past experiences, on “what ifs” or on something that may not be logical. We can follow along blindly reacting to what the mind dictates or sift through information to make decisions. The final decision always lies in your hands. Be practical and realistic in our approach but go with your gut. Often we can stop ourselves short because of worries and halt advancement because we listen to the reactive chatter.

Sometimes other people’s input influences our decisions and again this can be detrimental or advantageous.

Stagnation is often what transpires because of fear or insecurity. We cannot let fear stand in the way unless protection from something specific and real is required.

Listen to the nonsensical chatter from your mind so that you can recognize it. As we become acquainted with our mind and its interaction, we become better at recognizing when what is being transferred is accurate or fear based. We can become masters of recognizing the mind’s interference.

Believe in yourselves. Trust your instinct and reasoning abilities. Do not allow fear or panic to breach your decision making. You’ve got this, trust!

Heated conversations seldom reflect how we truly feel overall. At these times, we often express our reaction in the moment and can say things that are hurtful, even harmful and not at all what our intensions normally would be.

Emotions can play a significant role in our conversation and in the heat of the moment we may say things that we really should have thought about before we reacting.

On occasions we can be misinformed or we can use information out of context and as a result our reactions are out of line with the truth. We can get caught up in the heat of the moment and we react instead of being proactive and productive.

Once words are spoken, there is little that can be done to correct the situation. We can certainly ask for forgiveness, but we likely will be weighed down by our reactions. After due consideration we must forgive ourselves even if others will not. We must not live in the past. Ideally, we will learn from our mistakes and move forward wiser and with more determination not to repeat “reaction”. Do not let the heat of the moment destroy relationships.

Live in the moment. Once you have learned from them, let go. Forgive yourself. It is important to take responsibility for our actions but not to live in regret of them. Learn, grow and move forward.

How does the future look?

Do you have plans for your future and are you set to move in that direction?

The future can be uncertain but also holds promise and definitely some type of adventure.

How we approach each day and the activity of each day is of primary interest. Do we anticipate challenges?

If so, are we preparing ourselves for what is coming or are we creating a self-prophecy?

Is there promise in the making?

How much work are we willing to put into creating these potentials?

The work applied always has an impact on the outcome. Are we doing enough?

Things of importance are worth putting in the effort needed to grow, learn and reap the rewards.

If we fall short occasionally, do we sit back and create a new plan or do we surrender to failure?

Attitude and mental focus always play an important part. We have a choice on how we look at life’s events. We also choose how we deal with life’s lessons. We can learn or we can feel sorry for ourselves. Which is more productive?

Events can be out of our hands but how we respond/react to these events is a personal choice. Decide to be proactive. Do not be a victim of life. Be a director!

Life is a perplexing game of “what if”, “what can”, “what will” and “who knows”.

We walk our specific path alone although we do have others that share at least a portion of the road with us. Although we are alone in many ways it is wonderful to share our steps with many others.

Some of the important people that walk with us have great influence such as our partners, children, parents, siblings and friends.

We frequently ask, “why are we here”, “what have we come to accomplish”, and so forth.

There are many mysteries in our ongoing journey. As we grow we get answers to some of these questions although often the answers are just for that moment. Life is constantly moving in different directions.

Living our life to the fullest is essential.

We can get caught up on the “whys” or we can learn to accept our life’s path.

Knowing, accepting and using the teachings that come into life serve as great tools and open us to understanding.

Knowing that our focus and our expectations help mold what is yet to come, we can orchestrate our lives in a more rewarding manner. Focus is key to unleashing our potential. We do have special keys to use in this life but knowing this is not enough; we actually have to use them.

Life is magical. Do not get caught up in negativity and fear.

Life is the greatest teacher, and we are its students. Our reaction to life is always in our hands and life goes on even after you think it won’t. Live your life. Enjoy what it offers and experience it to the fullest.

Throughout life we meet those we consider to be magnificent souls. They stand out and find a place not only in our hearts and minds but become a part of our creative movement. They inspire us to believe in ourselves and have faith in our future. They teach us to let go of our past and live in the present. Even though they influence us, we may never meet these people in person.

There are authors who not only encourage us and motivate us through their works but also seem to stir up something within which has been laying in wait for awakening. There are speakers and teachers (both in and out of school) who inspire us and help us believe in ourselves. They seem to speak directly to us and it feels as though they were meant to be in our lives during that precise moment.

Teachers can come in the form of parents, siblings, children, other relatives, close friends and yes even foes. They seem to say the right triggering words when we need them to either sooth us or to motivate us.

Life experience is the greatest teacher of all. This holds true as we work our way through adversity, bask in the times of wonder, listen….truly listen without the need to respond, and practice growth through experience as we continue moving forward.

Even in times of despair we move forward learning and building along the way. We gain strength from adversity and at some point through our own experiences we too can become a teacher to those who may need us during crucial times in their lives. We can be the greatest teacher through example.

Life is a magnificent experience with all of its life altering events. We are the students of this wonderous life. Be open and listen intently!

One of our greatest follies is thinking we have unlimited time. “I’ll do this tomorrow, next time, whenever everything lines up perfectly”.

Our time on earth in this life is not unlimited although we should not worry about the passage of time. Live in this moment. It is invaluable. We are here to achieve what we need to and sitting back allowing time to halt our progress is a waste.

Patience is a valuable lesson but patience and procrastination are two very different practices.

We cannot force lessons but we certainly can have a hand in learning them.

“Living in the here and now” is a great motto.

Utilize this moment. It is yours! Live fully in this moment; no regrets!

To what extent will you allow the energies of today affect you?

Do other people seem to make you feel stress, anger, etc.?

We must recognize that although other people are involved in our lives it is our reaction to what they bring to the table that causes stress, anxiety, that creates dis-ease. We are not at the mercy of others although at times it certainly feels that way. We can pick up and move away from the situation or we can change our attitude towards the situation. Others do not create problems or worry; we do by allowing ourselves to be penetrated/influenced by their actions.

Worry and anxiety come from within. Others may not live up to our standards or expectations. We allow ourselves to think that others should act according to our expectations and when they do not, we worry and stress. We cannot control what others do or say and when we accept this our lives become more peaceful.

Don’t be led astray by the concept that other people have full reign over our calm or feelings of peace. We and only we have reign over this.

Belief structures create reality. Your attitude towards life is reflected in your surroundings. If you do not like what you see, you need to make change in your direction, either by changing circumstances in your life or by viewing your life from a different perspective.

Self-reflection is personal and does not reflect what others see. You create your concepts by believing in them and adhering to them. You make them your own, constructive or destructive.

You are not your mind; you are the one listening to the chatter.

Attitude and expectations decide what is to come. Focus is key to bringing more of whatever you believe and focus on into your life. The universe does not judge; you do the judging. You are simply provided with more of what you decide to focus on. If you look for beauty, you will find beauty; if you look for disappointment, you will find disappointment. It is like learning a new word. You never heard of the word before but once introduced to this word, you hear it used by others.

Your life is in your hands. You decide which road to follow. Push your thoughts in the direction you want to move but choose wisely. Your thoughts form your reality.

It is not usual to come to crossroads. The new road can look difficult because we have not walked it before. It may even be frightening.

What once felt comfortable now may not be enough. Perhaps we or our partner has outgrown our relationship. Perhaps our career is no longer fulfilling or has become too stressful. Perhaps illness has changed our journey.

The first step is always difficult but have faith in what you are about to do. The unknown can be intimidating. Fear not your thoughts. Fear not the unknown.

You have the strength to overcome whatever awaits you. Do your due diligence and make an informed decision on your next step. Don’t be in a hurry. You have the answer but if you are unsure, ask for assistance. Ultimately, it is you that takes that step though.

Perhaps a change of attitude is all that is needed or perhaps a big change is necessary. Whatever is required, have faith and advance without any expectations, good or bad. Life pushes us where we need to go even when it may not look that way. You are at the helm particularly with your attitude. Allow and grow.

On March 20, 2023 at 5:24 P.M. EDT, we will experience the Spring vernal equinox (Ostra). The Spring equinox is when the Sun is exactly above the Equator and day and night are of equal length-the balance of light and dark.

There is promise of a fresh start and renewal. Our world and our lives shed their wintery blanket and light shines forth.

Sprouts will begin to push their way through the soil, trees will bud, the grass greens, snowflakes transform to raindrops and there is the promise of flowers, colour, new life.

Even without the telltale signs of nature, we know in our heart renewal is coming. Beyond these internal feeling, in a more intangible way, we see the change in the shadows, we feel it in the air, we hear it from nature and smell it in the wind if we take the time to place our focus on these things.

Along with this new life springing forth in nature, there is the ability to have fresh starts in our own lives. This is a time of renewed vigor, an awakening. This can draw us nearer to the promise of warmth and sunshine in our hearts and souls, not just in nature. We can mirror and utilize the energy brought on through the change of the seasons to stimulate and push us in our pursuits, new or old.

A new beginning is at hand with the promise of personal growth depending on the seeds we now sow.

This is the time to renew our motivation, to push ahead and find outlets which can help us renew our commitment to ourselves for further growth, expansion, and evolution.

Springs seems to afford us the energy to move ahead more willingly in our endeavours, particularly those that we had allowed to sleep during the winter.

This renewed vigor can propel us into new-found areas that may not have been available throughout the winter. It is truly up to us what we plan to do with this energy and whether we utilize it or whether we allow it to slip by.

Mirror the season and take advantage of the energies at hand. Move ahead into the new. Reach beyond any limits. The only thing holding us back is us. We are our own motivation or our own stagnation. Growth and advancement are a choice.

What can be accomplished with these energies? Nature is offering you something fresh and new to focus on. Nature has provided us with hope and renewal.

Is life riddled with difficulties?

Do you ask, “why me”?

Some say it is Karma and some say we are building our Karma for the future by what we are experiencing now. Does that mean we have to just except and take our lumps?

Are we truly at the mercy of life?

We are at the mercy of our expectations, and our belief structures. We can make changes any time. If we stand still and do nothing, we cannot expect life to make changes for us. You are capable of being happy. You are worth the effort.

You can leave unpleasant situations but you cannot predict the outcome. Due to the unknown, many remain in situations that are unnecessary and halt life’s growth.

You learn from your experiences but you can still learn and have happiness and balance.

The past cannot be changed, and the future is still ahead of us. You do not know where you are heading, yet expectations can hold relevance as to where you end up.

If you don’t like what is in front of you, have the courage to adjust. If you are afraid of change question why. If you won’t make changes to your current situation then you must make changes to your attitude towards it. If you want change and need assistance reach out for help. You are never alone. Life can and will adjust when you decide to take that steps into the unknown.

Look at our steady progress. There are many points during our journey that we feel a sense of belonging and comfort in our environment. This environment is not our location on earth but our connection with self on an innate level.

It is confirmation of the inner truths that we seek to remember. It does not matter where we have set our earthly feet. What we have gained on a material level should have nothing to do with our concept of self. With an ongoing exploration of self, we strive for the summit of understanding and slowly regain a connection with our inner core. Our soul’s energy is our true identity, and when we open the door to self-perception, we allow this energy to emerge.

This brings us one step closer to our recognizable link with the whole, the divine, God, our source, or simply put “love”. Use the name you are most comfortable with.

The more peace we allow ourselves to experience and the less we identify with ego, the closer we align with our true self and reconnect with the whole.

The inner battles we wage do not serve a viable purpose but we become so caught up in the battle we cannot see beyond it. These battles only create havoc. To find our inner peace, we must allow love. Through love, our ego no longer defines life by fighting to keep control, fighting to be right, fighting to win the battle.

Ego let’s go when we take steps forward in faith. Letting go and letting love is a difficult lesson. Once the conscious decision has been made, it becomes much easier.

As we have stated many times, we are a spiritual being living an earthly existence. Open your heart and allow.
