What many of us seek (although we may not look at vacations from this perspective) aside from escaping the cold is to bring the vacation “frame of mind” to life. We may be seeking the relaxation, adventure and one on one time with others. Are we seeking something new and away from the day-to-day experience?

Do we travel to experience the beauty of nature and other cultures that need to be explored?

In many cases we each live a special, fortunate life and when we visit other cultures, we are provided a clear perspective of this.

Take the time to create peace, to reflect within and meditation on how special life truly is whether it is in your own home or on a warm beach. Calming your inner environment and setting aside time for something personal should be on the agenda.

Celebrate each day. Share your life and love with those around you. Be the generator of faith and the motivator for those that feel stuck in life’s circumstances. You have the power and capabilities!

You are a mystic in the making, ever evolving and discovering your journey along life’s everchanging road. Sit by yourself and evaluate what you have let go.

Was the outcome worth the effort you put into it?

Take a moment to reflect. Were you happy or more stable after your effort?

Did it bring you peace of mind?

Sitting in solitude can often provide clear insight. Don’t forget your part in what happened, even if the event seemed out of your control. Take the necessary responsibility for all that happens.

What has been the outcome or is it still a change in process?

Where will or has this taken you?

After some intentional calm and honest evaluation, do you now understand that the change or event was meant to be?

Can you see that without effort and other influences you would never see what potential lies ahead?

You were ready or it would never have taken place, whether you see this or not. Things happen for a reason, and we are never left behind. Not embracing change is being left behind.

One step out of an old situation opens the door for many more steps into the future. We don’t know what that future will bring, so no expectations. Live in the moment. Enjoy what is in front of you. Know that change always brings opportunities……so allow.

Although the title for this post suggests those that are near and dear to us, it also speaks to those in life that distract us and cause anxiety and unrest. In many cases this speaks directly of family. Your spouse, children, parents, and siblings are all included in this group. Close associates and our “family” of friends are also part of this.

Personally, I find it an honor (for those of us that believe in reincarnation) that we all decided to meet up again. It is believed that most of our close associates can be regulars in our lives as we have been together many times before.

How amazing is it that we again meet and how fortunate are we that this alignment is in place regardless of how the actual relationship functions?

Some friends become closer to us than our blood family and some families are only in place for short periods of time. Each encounter, however, is significant and can be used as a learning tool. We come together for a reason and as we age together, we recognize that life is short, and we should connect through love and affection. Enjoy each other and live life to its fullest.

We are on a path that takes us where our higher self intends us to go since the greatest experiences are found here. Life is measurable by our interaction and our teachers come in many different shapes and sizes. Live your life, share it with as many as you want and know that you are never alone, in life, in spirit and through all the different experiences that life presents us to learn from.

Remember to have fun. Life is not always a serious lesson.

Rewards in life can take time to manifest, therefore, perseverance and adjustments are often part of the process. We move at our own rate, sometimes stepping backwards and sometimes advancing quickly. Our achievement should not be based on time, but on the level of dedication we put forth to reach this goal.

One step at a time. How often have you heard that statement?

Jumping to the next step without proper knowledge or preparation often leads to shortfalls. Take your time. Ensure all the T’s are crossed and all the I’s are dotted.

Push ahead, accept shortcomings, and accept that you are only human. Do not put financial achievements over family.

Make your objectives reachable. If you fall short, do what it takes to correct the shortage or be happy with the result. Recognize and celebrate your achievements. Be proud of yourself without ego.

We are learning, and we make mistakes along the way; it’s part of being human. Learn from these limitations and recognize that they are your teaching tools. We are not perfect, but we can achieve more than we believe we can. Our inner dialogue is personal, but we do not need to identify with it if it makes us feel inferior or lacking.

Recognize what you are capable of doing and what you have. Open your eyes to your potential and your momentum will increase. You are your only barrier.

Believe in yourself!

There is no such thing as coincidence and everything regardless of how it looks is put in place to gain experience and information and then grow. Momentum and growth are stimulated by attitude and choice of how we react to life’s events. You can hold on to challenges or let them go knowing that they taught you significant lessons.

Build on what you know to be truth and be with those that you resonate with, those that walk your path. Formulate an action plan that assists you in maneuvering your way forward.

You are spirit living an earthly experience, temporary and in the moment. Stay in the moment and let go of hurts and difficulties. Be open minded and focus on what is good in life. Be thankful, even for those events that challenge or disrupt your life. Stay positive but do not try to escape any events; live them, learn from them, accept them and then let them go.

You are a spiritual being coming at a time when your world is facing many challenges. Do your part to foster in a new direction for the world but especially in your little corner of this world. Only you hold yourself back. Belief structure and expectations shape your reality. Focus is key!

Let’s say that you have experienced many incarnations prior to this life experience and have been fortunate enough to have learned many valuable lessons. From these what have you brought forward into this life experience?

We want to achieve more. We want to acquire more. We want to learn more. We want to be more. We want to be loved more. We want to experience more, and the list goes on and on.

Building on something in life is relevant and pushing ahead with our endeavors can be important. We want to achieve independence and experience accomplishments and spirituality. We strive for recognition for our hard work and diligent efforts. We want to be someone special or important or be known for what we have accomplished. It seems to be a part of our DNA.

There are exceptions. Some people are content with what is right in front of them. They don’t require any more and are satisfied with very little and do not need recognition.

The push to learn more can be strong for those on a learning journey and in most cases we are all on that journey.

When do we become satisfied and when does the need to achieve and learn end or is there such a thing?

In many cases it is what we leave behind that seems to matter in this earthly life. Wealth can bring material contentment in life, but we leave all that behind when we pass on.

Peace and contentment are the main ingredients for security in life and we can have many happy moments when we seek this or better still allow this in our lives.

Sharing is also important and what we have to offer can provide happiness, ease of concerns, love and contentment into other people’s lives.

There is really nothing wrong with striving for more but is there a potential that wanting more leads to discontented? Do we feel that nothing is ever good enough or we could always just want more for the sake of having more or achieving more?

Contentment lies in the moment when we realize that what we need we already have. We can push for more but in this moment, we actually have all we truly need.

Many individuals struggle with their past and things that they have done. Many are caught up in these incidents and struggle to move on.

The past is behind us and what we have done cannot be changed. Feeling guilty about what we have done or our part in what has taken place is quite common; however, we are likely not that same individual as we continually grow from our experiences. We are always capable of making changes and of learning moving forward.

Our past actions do not define us. We have to learn to accept these memories or behaviors but let them go and no longer identifying with them. The NEW YOU has many options. You choose where you go moving forward.

If you were providing guidance to someone else ”in your shoes” , what would you say to them?

Take your own advice and leave the past behind. Rid yourself of guilt. It serves no viable purpose today. Release yourself from bondage of the past. Yesterday has no place in today!

Do you feel as though you are alone with your worries?

Should you let go of fear or are your fears well founded?

There are often options that you may not have considered or have considered, and you walked away from them. Sometimes a situation demands action. If so, take action.

If there is fear, apprehension or concern about the situation at hand, then why would you not make that move?

Are there no options or are you stagnating because action and its outcome are unknown?

You can separate yourself from fear simply by moving away from the situation. You can undo the bondage and free yourself. It takes courage and resolve to unlock that door to freedom.

You are stronger than you think. Our frame of mind and belief structure can be a large hurdle. Most worry is self-made but in other cases is obvious.

You have overcome adversity before, so you are capable again.

In many cases you are not alone. There are others that can help you facilitate the change that you so need. Do not be afraid to ask for help.

You can do anything once you set your mind to do something. Face your problems head on. The initial step is always in your hands. Decide to act and take that step.

Is there something you can do that reflects who you are?

How you relate to yourself and what you think of yourself is of utmost importance.

Each individual you meet see you differently than the next person. Ask ten people who you are and you will get ten different answers. In reality, the only one that sees the real you is you.

We are who we are in this moment and this changes with each passing moment. Throughout life we change and grow. Who we were a year ago is not who we are now.

If there is something about your character or actions that you do not like, stop identifying with it. Make a change and it will change. Work from you is a requirement. Life continually changes and so will you with it.

Surround yourself with people that make you feel comfortable and good about yourself. These are your friends, and you can grow together being yourself. Never be someone different for the sake of others. You are your own masterpiece!

Do you have an image in your mind of what your path in this life should be like?

Are you striving to build a foundation that will build this path and take control and accept what lies ahead?

Are you making changes or adapting to circumstances and listening to your intuition as it prepares you for the journey?

Do you believe in yourself?

You have ingrained knowledge (from previous incarnations?) that can help you along the way. You are more than your limited concepts. You can move in whatever direction you chose.

You ARE ready. You can advance, if you believe. The first step forward is always the most difficult. Not taking that first step is worse than taking and failing. You are only left with “what if”.

Listen to the guiding forces. The inner knowing can be quiet and almost unnoticeable but the whisper gets louder and more frequent as time passes. You will find what you are looking for even if you don’t know what that might be. Insight and intuition become more frequent and the path becomes more clear, but the first step has to be taken before anything takes hold.

We are not our minds. We are the ones listening to the mind. We are not our thoughts and we do not have to identify with them. Fear nothing except fear itself. Step away from misguided individuals that do not support your intentions. Let your intuition be your guide.

Have you ever just sat on the edge of an idea?

Did you wish that idea would just manifest in your life?

What can you do to make this wish come true?

It is beneficial to analyze your wish or desire. Who will it benefit and what might be some of the ramifications of this happening in your life?

Will it promote some type of overall advancement, or will it be just for you?

There is nothing wrong with wanting something just for you and it may not be selfish or egotistical to desire this wish.

You need to believe that your wish has potential to unfold. The more you believe the better chance it will unfolding on some level. Believing in your dreams will help. You can’t make things happen if you feel you are unworthy or that it is not possible.

Repeat the intention in your mind and out loud maybe each night when preparing to sleep and when you get up. Your belief in your dream is important and your expectations hold the key. It might not take place exact the way you envisioned but something leading you in the right direction is often all that is needed.

When we read the title to this post right away many will think of someone else bringing love into their lives. It is true that we can find contentment and happiness when in a relationship with someone we grow to love. It is also true that to find these people we must first learn to love ourselves.

Inviting love into your life does not first come from outside sources. It must stem from you. Some of us do not feel worthy of happiness and love and some feel that it will never happen in their lives. These thoughts and perceptions hinder any possibility to experiencing happiness and love.

Know that you are always loved and understand that the love you seek from outside sources is alive and living within you. If you don’t like what you see, have another look. If you are uncomfortable with what you believe is “you” then take a real look without judgement. Changes can be made and no one else can do this for you. You must believe in yourself and think that you can change where change is needed.

Inviting love begins with you. Living begins with you. Setting goals and finding contentment begins with you.

It IS in your hands. Believe that you are worthy of love and that you can experience love. You alone can make it happen.

Happiness does not stem from your outside environment; it comes from within. Your happiness and peace of mind originate from within and the way you feel about your life reflects how you feel about yourself.

What are you putting out into the world and how is the world relating to what you present to it?

If recently you feel as though you are not being welcomed by others or that your wish is to be by yourself, question why. Are you avoiding others because of what you think of them or are you avoiding others because of how you feel about yourself?

We are not suggesting that you surround yourself with people that make you uncomfortable or with people that do not reflect your values. We are suggesting your question your motives if prior to these feelings you were a social individual.

Do you need more personal time? Is this to recharge or is it to hide?

Are you concerned about what others may think?

Are you worried that others might take advantage of you?

Are you avoiding others because you don’t feel worthy?

The list goes on and on.

Question your motives and be honest with yourself. If you would advise others to take some personal time under the same circumstances, then enjoy your quiet time to rejuvenate. If, however, you are hiding from the world due to fear or other reasons, it is time to love yourself enough to step out and connect with your tribe.

Your thoughts are what trigger moving forward or hiding away. If you don’t like what you see within, you are likely not seeing the true you. The true you is all the qualities you wish for. You would not be aware of these qualities unless they were already a part of you.

Do not identifying with the parts of yourself that you do not like. Recognized them and then let them go. Identify with those qualities you appreciate to magnify their presence. The more you focus on the latter, the more they expand. The best person you could possibly be is already a part of who you are.

This recognition exercise takes practice like physical practices to better any physical ability. With consistent effort and directing the mind to focus on the positive, you can accentuate the qualities your believed initially that were missing in your life. Once you realize that you can love yourself, you open the door for others to love you too.

Do is feel as though life is holding you back?

When we feel this way, we may just need time to reflect. This stagnation allows for time to analyze where we are and take note of what needs to happen as we maneuver our way forward.

It can be frustrating but is often necessary. There are times when jumping into action might not be the solution and mistakes can be made. Abrupt action or moving ahead without proper preparation can be troubling as time passes.

Alternatively, we may feel like we have been stuck forever but are actually holding ourselves back. Are you waiting for that magic moment to come but it never does? Indecision is reason for concern. Anxiety can also be behind our inaction.

We always have freedom of choice even though it may not seem that way. There are times when we need to alter our thoughts or pay less attention to what we might be thinking of doing. Action is available if we choose to move in any direction, but we must make a plan. Assess what is in front of you and then take the appropriate action.

You are ultimately the one that makes your own decisions. You cannot blame others for inaction, and you must take responsibility for your life’s course. Act when it is required. Weigh out your options and do what is best.

It is also important to consider how others will be affected by what you do but in the long run you must do what is best for you. Move forward without expectation and know that life is about to change in some way and it will be exactly what is needed in the long run.

Have you found yourself around groups of individuals that make you uncomfortable, invade your privacy or seem to bring unfavourable conditions in your life?

Are they friends or simply purveyors of stress and anxiety?

Take note of who you are associating with. If they make you feel uneasy or plague havoc in your life, do you require them in your life? This is not limited to just friends and acquaintances, if your partner, siblings, parents cause only anguish in life, it may be time to separate yourself from these individuals. Initially it may not be easy because it may be a lifetime relationship, but for your own mental health and personal growth, its healthy to cut ties.

There does not need to be any aggressive action to make this happen. If there is danger in any way, perhaps ask for assistance from the authorities or perhaps you need to vacate in such a way that they are not able to find you.

Our feelings may sway during these decisions and others may be hurt. Everyone needs time to adjust to change. These changes may lead you to places you never thought you could find.

Sometimes we need to heed the advice of others but especially listen to the quiet little voice within. Sometimes we just need to gather the courage to step ahead, one step without concern about what the next ten steps will entail. The unknown can be frightening but often puts us exactly where we need to be although in most cases it takes some time for us to recognize this.

Analyze the situation, make a plan and then take action. Hasty decisions often produce unwanted results. But after taking the necessary time to process, take action knowing that in some way the path ahead is what you require whatever that may look like.

Sometimes our intellectual capabilities stand in the way of sound instinct. Sometimes we disregard our intuition and continue along the road of practicality. We forget how to listen to our heart and soul, paying too much attention to our mental chatter.

You know that feeling that you just shouldn’t do what you are about to do?

That is your intuition or guidance coming from other sources. It could be from the inner self of a connection with source. You should listen but at the same time ignore the negative ego that actually comes from the mind. There is a difference.

A good way to recognize what is mental processing or ego compared to intuition or guidance can be determined by the feeling that goes along with what is transpiring from within. If the feeling leads to fear, then it is likely coming from the mind and if the feeling seems like a warning it is likely coming from intuition.

A personal example of this took place several years ago. I cut down a tree. After falling the tree, I went over to cut off a branch that was holding the tree is a precarious position. Although I had two people holding ropes attached to the ends of the tree when I cut the branch off, the trunk of the tree and a remaining large branch rolled and the large remaining branch rolled over my head and rolled to the ground. Something within told me to stand still, and I listened. One part of the tree fell to my left inches away and the other part of the tree to my right also inches away. If I had moved or tried to get out of the way one or the other part of the tree would have landed on me causing serious head injury perhaps even death. The one large branch off the trunk gently touched the top of my head as it rolled, but I did not receive a scratch.

We must pay attention when something within wants our attention whether that it be an order, which it was in my case, or whether it is a quiet little voice within that seems to be calling for your attention.

Sometimes the mind gets in the way of the message or forms intrusive thoughts that cause us to feel anxious or worried. In many cases this is tied to the future and in some cases is reflective of the past. Intuition often occurs in the now or very near future. The voice within if you want to call it that is usually hard to define but the more we listen, the louder it gets. Learn to listen!

To channel your inner self, you must recognize your connection with your true inner self. Recognize that inner self that guides you through life and helps you find your path when you feel lost. This inner self is always with you regardless of how alone you might feel and is always reachable.

Some will find their inner resources through the written channels (automatic writing) although automatic writing can also bring forward other sources providing information or specific guidance.

The door is always open through meditation and relaxation methods through silence or guided methods which are widely available.

Getting to know your inner self or the evolved state of being residing within is always within reach and the more you make your own personal contact the clearer the inner voice becomes. Don’t forget it is always providing assistance and never works against you. Some struggling from dementia or schizophrenia also hears voices but they usually give rise to worries and anxiety. The inner self always is reassuring and always available to help along the way.

Do not be afraid to ask for help. You are always provided with what you need, not always what you want. Some find that inner guidance from your higher source works on a different level than guidance from outside sources. Inner guidance seems to come instantaneously, and you don’t have to wait for words such as with a person to person conversation. It is like getting an entire paragraph within a second or two simultaneously and clearly.

Some have their inner connection with vibrations, intuitive feedback or through their feelings. You instinctively know not to do this or that although you have a choice. Our actions are never controlled by the inner self. Sometimes our inner self gives warnings through insight or plain feelings that something may not be right or that this is the right move to make.

There are many different means of communication and each of us has an inner self available for guidance. However much lies in the belief structure we develop over our lives and whether we choose to listen or not.
